This project proposes to continue to build on the previous years grant through educating and normalizing information pertaining to mental health and illness to as many community people as possible.
Through word of mouth, small groups, calendars sharing local people’s journey through mental health lows, and supports available locally, and online. New this year would be a wellness fair highlighting the local supports from food to activities to meditation and other things people can do to develop positive mental health because it is all connected. The project continues to be active in community schools with opportunities to talk frankly, to provide resources and referral information through, speakers sharing their experiences and attending camps where they work on social inclusion and working together. Activities include: Mental Health Videos, Mental Health Calendar, Youth/Seniors/Adult Social Groups, Mental Health Speaker, Youth Wellness Fair and Community Wellness Fair and events with the local Filipino community.
