This project is a community engagement initiative that aims to discover where Donalda community is at with mental health and furthering conversations within the community about how we can capitalize on community assets and interest to build a more resilient community.
The project will host at least two activities monthly, one focused on cooking and fulfilling the need for food security and the other focused on an activity to draw community out so we can begin these conversations on a more consistent basis. After each of these activities, community resource navigation will be available on a drop in and one on one basis. The community navigator can build rapport with community members and the community members will gain a further sense of accessible supports offered in the community. Our intention with this small project is to identify greatest areas of need and interest as well as impact, generate community idea giving, and provide opportunity for input for next steps.
