Stronger together: A wellness project

This year Crossfield is focusing on fostering connections, friendships, and a sense of belonging within their community, while at the same time bringing awareness to mental health and reducing stigma.

To achieve this, they are hosting their 3rd Annual Crossfield Community Wellness Day, expanding on the foundations of previous years to make it their most impactful event yet. This event is an all-ages BBQ held in one of Crossfield's parks, that showcases the different agencies and organizations in their community that promote well-being, as well as hosting many different activities and a day of fun outdoors.

Additionally, Crossfield will grow their monthly connection events to engage more residents and introduce a wider variety of wellness-focused activities. These events will provide opportunities for community members to socialize, learn new skills, and deeper their understanding of mental wellness. The monthly connection events are held at the community center and are open to all adults in the community. Each event features a unique activity designed to bring people together, with resources from local organizations available at each gathering. Each evening begins with a discussion about the Crossfield Wellness Network, outlining goals for the community and how the events contribute to nurturing overall health and wellness.

By creating inclusive spaces for connection and education, Crossfield's project aims to strengthen community bonds, reduce social isolation, and promote mental well-being for all.
