Men’s Shed was first started in Australia and there, shed means a meeting place. The idea is simple: a place to go, guys to talk to, something to do. Vegreville's project will bring men 18+ years old together in a safe space to gather, drink coffee, tinker, talk, work on community projects, and make friends. The men in the shed decides what is important to them and what they would like to do with their time in the shed and what information or topics they would like to learn about. There is nothing like this currently in Vegreville for men and we have heard from the community there is a need.
