Heritage Harmony; Celebrating Our Shared Stories

This year Hanna is focusing on community involvement and having community members drive the work being done in community, which will be focused on community wellness. Hanna will be hosting a Human Library as a means to empower community members to share their mental health story and become a positive advocate for mental wellness. As community members share their story as part of the human library, their stories will be captured on video and available to the whole community.

They will also continue with their ABC Funtime playgroup which fosters healthy relationships between both caregivers and their children as well as relationships between caregivers, their communities and themselves.

A youth day inspired by youth, for youth to prepare them for the challenges  as they transition to adulthood will be held. This event will see the youth plan and execute the event based on their needs and with support from community mentors.

Lastly, they will host a set of multigenerational events lead by community members with the intention of establishing valuable community connections and bridging the
age gap between their oldest and youngest community members.
