Leduc County's project uses both visual and comedic arts to connect residents and to encourage meaningful conversation, emotional experiences and messaging about mental health within the community. Through David Granirer, a Vancouver comic, participants in Leduc County will be trained to use their experiences with mental health to develop a short comedy sketch that will be presented to the community during Mental Health Week in May 2022. Alongside the comedy show, an art show will be developed with the theme of “mental health” that local artists can participate in. This art show will be set up for the month of May at the Leduc Arts Foundry where there will also be art workshops that community members can participate in.
