This project builds off the 2023 grant, which hosted four themed cookie decorating events. Each event was sold out with a wait list and received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with community members asking for more classes! The community action team wants to expand and enhance the cookie classes based on the feedback and learning that occurred during the first four events. The quarterly themed cookie decorating events for the community are similar to a “paint & sip” paint nights but with cookie decorating, lemonade and a charcuterie board! This year the grant will be reducing barriers to participation by bringing the event to neighbouring communities!
