Breaking Bread for Better Minds

Our project, "Breaking Bread for Better Minds", is a series of community dinners to bring together up to 30 people per event to foster meaningful conversations about enhancing mental health and building a more inclusive and diverse community in Smoky Lake. The primary goal of these gatherings is to provide a safe, welcoming space where residents can share their personal experiences with racism and discuss ideas for fostering diversity and inclusion. We hope to gather valuable feedback and insights from diverse community members by engaging in open dialogue over a shared meal. This will directly inform and guide future initiatives to address racism and enhance inclusivity. These dinners are designed not only to strengthen community ties but also to ensure that future programs are tailored to the specific needs and perspectives of our residents. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a more inclusive, accepting environment that supports mental well-being for all members of our community.
